My prayers and love are with your family. We mourn the loss of those we love dearly and wish they were still here with us, so we can continue to love them, watch them grow and be loved by them, but...Maria is not gone...and she will never be in pain, or suffer from anything now, nor will she ever have to go through the coldness this world can sometimes put us through. She is loved in abundance with our Father in Heaven now and waiting to see all of her lovely family once again....one day. She was truly blessed here on earth with the parents and siblings who cared for her dearly and she is now twice as blessed in Heaven.

I wish I had the answers as to why we are tested as we are, but only God knows those answers and I believe it's a personal journey for each of us.

God will mend your broken hearts, as we all know He will...and you have many who are praying your family through the sadness.

Sometimes our lives are touched by the sweetest of gifts from God and for those moments we are to enjoy them, cherish them and feel blessed that we experienced them for the time we had them here on earth. I know you did and you will see her again one day.

God Bless You and Your Family Steven.

Much Love and Prayers,

Your Sister In Christ,

Very true, but we can't just appeal the Authority of Dead people, we should appeal to the authority of the bible and how these dead people pushed that as their authority.

The problems with many of these new breed theologians if one can call them that is that they acknowledge no authority past themselves.

I thought you would want to know that Fermi Project just released the official "UnChristian: Change the Perception" DVD Curriculum designed for small groups and church staffs. It has David Kinnaman, Gabe Lyons, Shane Claiborne and Rick McKinley talking through how the perceptions can change and is a resource I would highly recommend. Check it out at:

I read your blog on the Republican primary. It's true that as of that time Steve Rathje only had $7700 in the bank and Eichorn had around $4000. I could see why this would concern people however, Steve Rathje out raised Eichorn by 75 to win and Reed by 100 to win. Go to the FEC website and check out how much Steve ACTUALLY raised during this campapign. You will clearly see that he was clearly the front runner in fundraising. Only 4 people contributed to Eichorn's campaign who were not relatives or himself. Steve had almost 90 people contribute to the campaign and onlly dontated to himself once.

Yes, Steve only had $7700 in the bank but the reason why was simple: he was spending his money. If he raised all this money and than left it sitting in his bank account and didn't use it to print literature, make commercials, or do the other things neccessary to win in a race everyone would thnk he was crazy.

The point is, no Republican U.S. Senate Candidate raised more money than Steve Rathje did during his campaign. He spent every dime the PEOPLE gave to him to make Iowa and America better and we owe him our heartfelt thanks!

This just sickened me when I first heard about from my dad. I don't live in Iowa, but I was born, raised, and graduated from UNI there, and now I teach at an acredited Christian school in Missouri and have two children who attend there. It blows my mind how they think they have the right to control private schools. I don't know what is fueling this - jealously, greed, the strong desire to destroy anything that has to do with Jesus, maybe it's all. Whatever the reasons, they cannot win on this. If you hear on anything I can do on my end, let me know. If this passes, it may set a presedence for other states to adopt.
