“Why do you think we crave drama? Do you agree or disagree with Moreland when he says that true drama is impossible in a thin world? Why?” (Shane)

We crave drama because we are dramatic – and have a sense of ego. Our dreams in and of themselves are very dramatic – better than most television shows and movies (and the best thing – they star us). We know we are important – we just aren’t sure how important or for what intended purpose…and drama helps imagination in those aspects.

I think Moreland is onto something here – true drama lacks in an over-sensationalized culture…people do the dreaming and wondering for us (usually in 30 second sound bytes). We lose something when we stop dreaming for ourselves – and building that. We do become empty and as Chuck D says ‘you don’t stand for anything, you fall for anything’ (from ‘hard as you think’). This seems to be true about us humans. And once we get into the process – into the seeking aspect of life – we awaken somehow. WE start to realize we have emotions, physicality, spirituality, and mentality we do not look into deep enough.

“What is real?”

Real as in a ‘living reality’ – the things we interact with concering our senses and sensibilities...shapes our perspectives…this is as real as it gets. For me, and for all, this includes a type of spirituality, emotionality, and thoughts (there is more to us than just being physical – obviously) – from there we develop our realities in life experiences.

“What are the nature and limits and knowledge?”

You can only know ‘so much’ and memories only hold ‘so much’. I think knowledge is where we need to also go with our journies (or we do get lost) – but knowledge is also part of a living experience (we can learn a lot by doing).

“Who is well-off? What is the good life?”

For me success is living a life worth emulating – something others can point to and admire (I some regards). This means a sense of morality, a sense of justice, a sense of hard work, a sense of determination, and most importantly…a sense of balance.

“Who is a really good person?”

Someone that treats others better (or equal) to how they treat themselves.

“How does one become a really good person?”

It takes work and a lot of living. I think I am a good person but I didn’t get there without one simple quality – humility. To me, humility and the ability to hear others is essential. I always remember someone once said to me ‘don’t ever get to the point where you can’t be taught, you will be useless to everyone’.
