I think that statement sums up our entire persona as we interact with others.

Your opening example reminded me of a church where my in-laws attended. When they first went there the place was low key. But they continued to attend and fellowship. They learned the value of quietly listening for the Lord. And the congregation soon began to lift their hands in worship. To date the body there is more demonstrative in praise/worship and my in-laws have become more settled (stedfast) in their relationship w/Christ. 

The key to change was indeed continued fellowship in the bond of Christ.</description>
